At Licensed Coffee in Madrid we serve three filter coffee methods: V60 pour-over (€5.50), a hand-brewed single cup with bright, floral clarity; Batch Brew (€4.00), a machine-drip filter ready instantly with a rounded, balanced body; and Cold Brew (€4.50), a 12–18 hour cold immersion that produces a full, silky cup with chocolate and caramel notes and virtually no acidity.
V60: The Japanese classic. Hand-brewed, one cup at a time. The SCA recommends an extraction yield of 18–22% for optimal flavor, and we dial in our V60 to hit that range. Water temperature is held at 92–96°C per SCA guidelines. Clean, bright cup that highlights acidic and floral notes. Ideal for African-origin coffees with fruity profiles. Our most artisan method — we prepare it right in front of you. ~3 minutes.
Batch Brew: Filter coffee brewed in batches with the same quality beans as the V60. Consistent, balanced cup, ready on the spot. Perfect if you want a filter without the wait or if it is your first time with specialty coffee. The most straightforward option on our menu.
Cold Brew: Coffee extracted cold over hours. Cold brew typically contains 60–80% more caffeine per serving than drip coffee due to its higher coffee-to-water ratio and long steep time. No acidity, silky body, chocolate and caramel notes. We serve it straight or over ice. Ideal when it is warm outside or when you want something different from a classic espresso.
